On Sunday 28th April, The Mountbatten School hosted a Brass Day event which had over 120 brass players from the local area taking part. Hosted in partnership with Hampshire Music Service and the esteemed Brass Academy, the day featured workshops led by seasoned professionals, offering valuable insights and techniques in brass playing, and making links with industry.

The event included enthusiastic participation of several local primary schools, coming together to celebrate music making. Additionally, we were pleased to welcome students from The Romsey School, The Mountbatten School and Peter Symonds college enhancing the musical experience.

To cap off the day’s work, an electrifying concert featuring performances by students and professionals alike brought the celebration of brass, leaving all involved inspired to continue playing.
