Parent and Carer FAQs
Please see below a list questions that may help you. If you need any further information please email info@mountbatten.school
How can I contact my child's teacher?
We ask you to make contact through a central email address (as outlined below) as this inbox is always monitored. If a member of staff is absent from work we do not want your message to be missed. We can redirect your email as needed to ensure someone gets back to you.
Please contact your child's teacher through info@mountbatten.school marked 'FAO: Teacher's Name and subject'.
My child is ill and cannot attend school?
Please call the school telephone number and select the absence line from the options. This will allow you to report to the attendance team.
You should call in for every day of an extended absence.
My child is going to be late for school?
The procedure is the same as for a full day absence. Please call the school telephone number and select the absence line from the options. This will allow you to report to the attendance team.
My child has lost something, what should they do?
On the Student Portal, we have a section called 'Lost Property'. Here there are photographs of all lost items that have been handed in. Lost property can be collected from the Attendance Office.
I urgently need to contact my child, what should I do?
Please contact our school reception which is staffed all day - they will find which lesson your child is in and get your message to them. Students' mobile phones should be switched off and in their bags during the school day, so please do not contact them on their mobile phone.
My child's uniform is unavoidably incorrect?
