Our admission policy is agreed every year by school governors and placed on our website. Stakeholders are invited to make comments on any changes to our admissions policy that governors propose.

Admissions for Year 7 for September are administered by the local authority. Please go to Hampshire School Admissions for more information. You may also wish to contact admissions@mountbatten.school or call 01794 502502 for information on places and waiting lists.
Distance Criteria: The students with the furthest distance admitted to Year 7 during main round, March 2024, was approximately 1.457 miles away. Please note this distance is as the crow flies.
If your application for a place is unsuccessful, you have a statutory right of appeal. Information on how to appeal is below.
For parents/carers making an in-year application the school will aim to notify parents of the outcome of their application in writing within 10 school days of receipt from the Local Authority, however notification must be in writing within 15 school days.
In Year Appeals
In year admissions appeals can be lodged at any time and will be heard within 30 school days.
Who can lodge an appeal?
Any parent or guardian who has been refused a school place for their child has the right to appeal the decision.
