Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or Teaching Assistant to work in the classroom supporting students with a range of special educational needs.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant – 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 39 weeks per annum
Actual Salary: Grade D £23,025 to £25,333 (depending on experience)
Teaching Assistant – 30.83 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 39 weeks per annum
Actual Salary: Grade B £17,125 to £17,353/Grade C £17,394 to £18,125 (depending on experience)
Previous experience of working in an educational setting and/or with young people is desirable. You will be working in a forward-thinking, supportive department where the emphasis is on the education and care of the students. This post would suit someone looking for experience before embarking on a career in teaching.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a teaching/learning/child support working environment would be required for the Higher-Level Assistant role as you will lead small group interventions such as Intensive Reader, Social Skills and Touch-Typing Skills.
Although full time is preferred, part time will be considered.
