Engaging in activities during the summer is not only enjoyable but also crucial for overall well-being. The warmer months are fast approaching, we hope, and they offer a plethora of opportunities for outdoor activity both within school and outside in the wider community.
The Sports Academy have now moved to their summer extra-curricular programme which offers students the opportunity to participate in tennis, cricket, athletics and rounders. Participating in these activities can help students to stay physically active, improve mental health, and reduce stress.
Furthermore, the summer of 2024 holds particular significance as it marks the build-up to the Paris Olympic Games. The Olympic Games serve as a global celebration of athletic prowess, unity, and human achievement. Athletes from around the world will converge in Paris to compete at the highest level, showcasing their talent and dedication to their respective sports.
Participating in activities leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games can foster a sense of excitement and anticipation. Whether through our extra-curricular programme, local sports clubs, recreational events, or Olympic-themed activities, individuals can immerse themselves in the spirit of the Games. Additionally, supporting athletes and following their journeys can inspire and motivate people to pursue their own athletic endeavours. It has certainly inspired me to put on my running trainers and get back out to those summer evening runs.
Please encourage your child to get involved in the raft of opportunities available to them in the summer term and experience the wider enrichment that Mountbatten has to offer.
